When draining engine oil by removing the drain plug, the subsequent removal of the oil filter can often pose a challenge due to its location. The flexible funnel can be shaped into a passage-like form and placed directly under the engine oil filter. This way, residual oil is directed into the waste oil pan without dripping onto other parts such as the subframe, control arms, or electrical insulators. To clean the funnel, simply wipe it with a cleaning rug or shop paper towel until dry.
